Pretty goofy.
Often awkward.
Far from graceful.
Always a work in progress.

I’m a California-born, Arizona-raised girl that found her way while living in the Colorado Rockies.  It was my 19th birthday when I left the desert for the mountains.  While my high school boyfriend prompted that move, it was pursuing my childhood dream of becoming a professional photographer that kept me there.  I met my husband, Mark, in art school and over the course of 6 years we became roommates, best friends, business partners and husband & wife, in that order.  For 14 years we owned a photography business together until 2017 when we took to life on the road (living and traveling in a 100 sq ft RV) in search of our next chapter. We were burned out and craving a change.  At the end of 2018, a dream job offer for Mark led us to settle in Idaho, creating a massive shift in our life’s trajectory.  Just as we were getting settled in to our new lifestyle, 2020 arrived. With COVID creating uncertainty in both our careers we decided to sell everything and return to living and traveling in an RV full-time. A lifestyle that minimizes our expenses while maximizing our freedom. The most proactive approach we could think of to navigate these uncertain times.

I’m an introspective introvert that believes life is stressful and wonderful and complicated and confusing and beautiful all the same.  A beautiful mess that is hard to untangle and make sense of sometimes.  Sometimes I don’t know what I think until I write.  This website is where I unravel those thoughts as I pursue and promote a life well-lived.

i believe…

…in collecting experiences rather than things

that gratitude turns what we have in to enough

conformity is optional

…the right food can be as powerful a prescription as any medication

…travel doesn’t have to be expensive or exotic to be exciting

…joy lies just outside our comfort zone

…we’re all capable of so much more than we give ourselves credit for

…time is our greatest asset

…a healthy, happy marriage creates an unstoppable partnership

…we could all benefit from caring less about what others think of us and more about how we feel about ourselves

…we’re defined not by the things that happen to us but how we choose to react to them

…life is too hard and too short to not do what you love

…as long as we have food, water, shelter and love in our life, we have a lot to be grateful for
