Sometimes you just have to start

When it comes to starting a new project, chasing a new dream, attaining a new goal, there are a thousand reasons to delay your start.  We’re wired to think we need to wait for it to be the perfect time, when in reality there is no such thing.  The reasons we think we need to wait are simply holding us back from just starting and figuring it out as we go.  The way to get started is to just start.  It may not be pretty at first, it may not be entirely thought out but that doesn’t mean you won’t figure it out along the way.

When I started my first business I was young, dumb and naive.  Little did I know, those attributes actually helped me mercilessly chase my dream without questioning everything.  Now that I’m older and wiser as I embark on new passion projects, the constant doubt, the need for perfection before I ever begin is crippling me.  But I read somewhere that the imperfect project that gets started is far better than the perfect project that never sees the light of day.

This website is one of those passion projects.  I’ve had a deep desire this year to spread a positive message.  To encourage people to live a thoughtful, meaningful life they can be proud of.

To not just live, but to thrive.

The list of reasons to not launch this website…not quite yet…keeps getting longer.  So I decided it’s time to just start.  It’s time to put myself out there, flaws and all.  I am not perfect, far from it.  I am not an expert on anything.  What I am is a human being trying to make the most of this one life, just like you.  Everyday I work hard at living better.  I’m a deeply introspective introvert that loves to dissect the Whys and Hows behind happiness.  That, among other things, is what I plan on sharing with you to inspire you too to discover your best self.
