This is winter in the desert

In January we spent two glorious weeks at Kofa National Wildlife Refuge. It would have been great all on its own but the fact that Claire & Brandon came to share a week with us made it that much better. Our lifestyles so easily and seamlessly blend when we’re all together. And the ways in which we bring ingredients together to make decadent meals without ANY pre-planning…well, it makes our time together that much more memorable.

Once again we maxed out the 14 day limit and only left one time in that timeframe to run to the store for some fresh produce. I am absolutely relishing the contentment that we’ve been experiencing in this lifestyle lately. Our needs are few, our bills are minimal and our minds are at ease. I couldn’t ask for much more.

Here’s a photo recap of our time at Kofa…

When our two weeks came to a close it was time to head further South and continue taking advantage of all that the beauty the desert has to offer in the winter!
